Jump Start Service in the Coachella Valley
Click but no start, or dim lights and nothing. Call (760) 263-6756 and say where the car is parked.

Signs of a dead battery
The engine clicks or turns over slowly, the dash lights are dim or the car does nothing at all. Heat shortens battery life, so desert summers are hard on them.
What to tell dispatch
- Where the car is and how close a truck can get.
- Make, model and year, and whether it is gas, diesel, hybrid or electric.
- What happens when you turn the key or press start.
After the jump
Drive for a while before you shut the car off, and have the battery and alternator tested soon. If it dies again, the battery or the charging system needs replacing.
Electric and hybrid cars
Most electric cars have a small 12-volt battery that can die like any other, even with a full traction battery. Tell dispatch it is an EV. See EV towing if it needs to be moved.

Questions
Short answers. For anything else, call and ask.
Why does my battery die in the summer?
Heat speeds up the chemical wear inside a battery, so older batteries often fail on a hot day.
Will a jump start fix the problem?
It gets the car running. If the battery is old or the alternator is weak, it can die again, so get it tested.
Can you jump a Tesla or hybrid?
Tell dispatch the make and model. Many electric cars have a 12-volt battery that can be jumped, and some need a tow instead.
