Flat Tire Change in the Coachella Valley
Do not change a tire on a freeway shoulder. Get to a safe spot, then call (760) 263-6756.

Before you call
- Check that the spare is there and has air.
- Find the locking wheel-nut key if your wheels have one. It is often in the glove box or trunk.
- Note exactly where you are.
Keep your spare honest
A compact spare is for short, slow trips to a tire shop, not for the next month. Many are rated for about 50 mph and a limited distance, and the number is printed on the spare or in the manual.
On the I-10
Traffic is fast and shoulders are narrow. Leave the jack in the trunk, stay behind a barrier and call. See I-10 breakdown towing for the safety steps.
No spare or a second flat
Tell dispatch. A flatbed can carry the car to a tire shop, or ask about mobile tire repair.

Questions
Short answers. For anything else, call and ask.
Can you change a flat tire for me?
Call and describe the situation. Dispatch tells you what can be done where you are and when.
What if I do not have a spare?
Say so on the call. The car can go to a tire shop on a flatbed, or you can ask about repair on the spot.
Is it safe to change a tire myself on the highway?
No. Move to a safe spot off the traffic lanes, stay away from the car and call.
